Visually Seductive Film with ADHD

Warning: Spoilers
*SPOILERS* ...................... This film is pretty, visually inspiring, and is in every way, an artistically shot film...sometimes compelling, other moments it feels forced silly... Kudos to the Costume Designer and Makeup Artistry; wonderfully inspiring wardrobe choices and overall Mise-en-Scene.

I feel the screenwriting, script, and musical numbers could have used a lot of work;

I'm loyal to The Devil's Carnival, series, but I hope by the 3rd attempt they'll evaluate their screenwriters, lyricists, scriptwriters, etc.

I wish some of the musical numbers weren't there- the strongest musical numbers are in the beginning with Shovel and Bone, and we've earned a fun and seductively diabolical performance by Terrance Zdunich on screen-

David Hasselhoff- Love his performance and number.

I enjoy Emilie Autumns overall number at the end but it should have been cut down and edited to go on while other scenes were playing...

Tech N9ne brought the ruthless Librarian to life in the Teaser, but in the film THAT Librarian is gone, and replaced with a goofy rap scene librarian that looks like it belonged to Ernest goes to Bootcamp.

When June is discovered, the only violence/blood we see is where the translators "beat" June-- unlike the teaser, there is nothing really suspenseful about this scene- its meh.

The Librarians concept could have been played out so much more, but it wasn't delivered; Tech N9ne forgets his line and makes the Librarian seem to second guess himself. He mutilates angels for making noise in the teaser but stares disapprovingly at the two most annoying characters with a musical number we didn't need.

This is disappointing because David Hasselhoff's character came off as more sinister with his cape swish.

Like the last film, these musical numbers get a little harder to deal with when some don't add much and they carry on too long.

The Translators...umm.

And feels very weird with the run-on dialogue with the ticket taker and Lucifer toward the end could have been reduced... The direction of the writing seemed to fatigue the actors at points.

I feel as if this would be better suited for a TV series- it's interesting that we are watching a film about the Painted Doll instead of a war with Heaven.

It feels as if the film was shot out of order and rewritten during production.

There is still a certain charm to this film that makes it re watchable for some scenes, but more effort should be concentrated on writing than anything.

Overall I still enjoy this series, visually.
