The title used is in my pov a bit misleading and I prefer the 2nd title, the wrong house, as it just fits better. 2nd thing to get out of the way is the tag line and esp the cover. It's suggesting a different kind of movie... so what to expect really? It's a slow burn mystery thriller with a very interesting and captivating story. My interpretation revolves around purgatory kind of thing where the 2 families are stuck at. Why? This is not entirely clear. In both cases somebody killed / or was responsible for a tragedy. Unfortunately, that's a bit where it gets confusing despite the original story line. (Eg what's the role of the silent girl?) Too many additional layers are thrown in and not explored to the fullest. I see inspiration of French novelists JP Satres work, no exit,... but also links to the phenomenal triangle mystery thriller. Overall I thought it's a solid watch but it had some flaws mainly in keeping the suspense level up.
