Never write reviews. I think mostly, because english is not my first language and i will never able to express myself as for example in german or french. Nevertheless, this is only my second commentary. I think people overreacte concerning this movie. First of all, i am not familiar at all with the source material. Second: I watched the moviel the first time as a kid and the skorpion creatures scared the hell out of me. Besides that, i always thought, that its weird as hell, but also entertaining the same time. Now as an adult i have to say: Seriously??? Below 5??? Ok, its certainly not a masterpiece, its offensive as hell and also silly to the bone. But take a minute to think about it. Especially today with the #femtoo movementes and i dont know what... OK, times change. Rhats one of the reasons i always loved the british humor. They make fun of everything. And everybody knows, that its not personal at all! Is it sexually offensive towards woman? Yeah... But for example "a serbian film" has a higher rating than this... wtf?? Is it silly? Yeah... but a much more sillier film like "doggy style" has a higher rating than Howard?? Leave me alone... Besides that: Tim Robbins, Lea Thompson and Jeffrey Jones (not rating all the buzz, only him as an actor - like a british). Solid 7 for me. Always liked it, will never forget it.
