Season one was fantastic. An action show that knew what it was and had fun with it without being over the top. To me season one was the best action movie in many years. On a level with the second Top Gun movie. It didn't try to be more than it is.
Season 2 is horrible. They wanted to top everything they did in season one and so everything that was gritty and somewhat believable went out of the door. Now it's basically a Marvel movie. Especially the finale was just laughable. Villains that suddenly lose all their brains (yeah sure. Let's not kill the giant killing machine but instead go through an elaborate plan and throw him out of a helicopter and risk him breaking free) and apparently it's possible to catch a fully grown woman on top of a metal bed and hold her with one hand while she is hanging from said helicopter while holding on to the helicopter.
Also it became super cheesy. Is there a single person who didn't see that ridiculous ending come? And sure. Homeland doesn't care that they shot down a helicopter right in front of them. Things like that happened throughout the season. What a shame. Got worse and worse with every single episode.
