Ok this was not the best movie every made and you know where everything is going and have seen elements of it before. Not going to say "AI" because the story had heart and usually AI can't deliver that.
Basically the main male character (Kyle) is going through a rough time because he was recently in a car accident that killed one and severely injured his friend. Kyle was not hurt at all leading to a lot of guilt. One day while considering suicide, Mia spots him and inserts herself into his life to stop him. She follows him home and offers Kyle a 10 day trip to Spain (on her). Kyle goes with this total stranger because he doesn't really care anymore and wants to get away. In Spain, Kyle finds out what Mia is really up to and, of course, they fall in love.
If this movie gets points it is the performance of the main character, she is a real positive nelly that it is charming to see in this day and age of ultra cool bummers. The movie also has a happy ending which is a good thing as movies today just can't resist ending on a sour note. It is full of tropes and ideas from other films but the performances I think help a lot with that.
