"The Book of Clarence" is a film that fails to deliver on its promise. Despite a talented cast, the film is a confusing mix of biblical themes and farce that never quite comes together. LaKeith Stanfield delivers a solid performance as the streetwise hustler Clarence, but the script fails to give him much to work with.
