I can understand to a point both sides of the fence here when it comes to the sympathy given to the accused due to the writing of the script and I also can relate to the families of the victim. Because they lost a loved one regardless of the circumstances.
What should be noted as I see it, would be the age at which certain Americans will allow vengeance to justify their blood lust for the execution of minors.
On June 16, 1944, George Stinney Jr., a 90 pound African-American 14 year old teenager was executed in the electric chair for the murders of two Caucasian girls to which evidence after the fact proved his innocence.
