Despite having the creator's name in the title, this is not the Beavis and Butthead of the 90's. It's painfully obvious that even Beavis could understand that Paramount's writers don't understand the humour for one and secondly the satire that comprised the original. The boys themselves have been stupefied into oblivion, they watch and comment on videos they would never find themselves exposed to, their dialogue has been reduced to poor punchlines and as a result they have lost authenticity. The new show is a cash grab using the Intellectual property of the cult classic original. This new show sucks. Mike Judge is still executive producer for the series, but he must have been really hands off when it comes to writing, how he could let this happen I do not know. Perhaps Judge was looking for a payday or trying to be noble handing the torch to some aspiring writers, regardless the nuance has been lost. If you're looking for a laugh; watch the original series with a mate. The opening title riff has been butchered unnecessarily and the constant chuckling of the boys has been cut down by at least 70%, a huge part of the humour of the original. The chuckling in the original could create feedback loops where you would initially be laughing at the boys chuckling and end up in hysterics at you and your mate's own laughter..
