And yes indeed, one of the best movies by Rene Cardona Jr.

Warning: Spoilers
I don't know if it was the jungle, the Bengal lions that mysteriously arrived in that jungle, the effects or transitions or the few scripts that the film has, but it seems like a gem that hasn't had the importance it has, in fact I think it's fantastic the fact that in international popular culture it is given the importance it deserves.

This Robinson Crusoe movie is the Mexican version of a literary classic and by many it is one of the best books that have been written, in this case the movie could not be left behind.

I understand that it was the first major work of the actor Hugo Stiglitz and that it brought him fame for the same story it contained and perhaps it was the lack of script or dialogue that made the film end up becoming a cult film in the world. History of the national cinematheque.

The effort they made to bring the jungle to the beaches of Acapulco is very applaudable (which seems crazy to me) and creating several phenomenal sequences.

If I think it is one of Cardona Jr's 3 best films and definitely the beginning of a career for Stiglitz, I recommend you see it and if you are big fans of this genre or type of cinema, I hope you like it and understand how wonderful or bad it can be this movie.
