I love this movie, having seen it some 30+ times. My opinion a Disney Classic. It's even more special now since my Dad has passed away, and I tear up always at the bonding of Father & Daughter (I pretend the daughter is a son) & the wedding at the end. I always thought of my dad as a "Superdad". Providing for his family even though I didn't see him a lot due to his job. Except on summer hiatuses & some weekends. I developed a crush on Kathleen Cody early on. And love the Bobby Goldsboro theme song. So much so I tracked down a promo 45 of it, since it never got released commercially. Did you know it's a popular requested song to be played at weddings? Yes, I do weddings! "ROCKIN' BOBBY BROOKES" Thanks to digital it's now in my D. J. show. If you miss your dad, or mom? I urge you to check this film out....pure Disney Magic!
