A Lost Blanche Sweet Silent
PamelaShort8 January 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Blanche Sweet plays young Jenny a girl living with her stepfather who decides to put her to work burglarizing a home. Bob Van Dyke ( Tom Forman ) is the wealthy owner of the home Jenny is to rob, and when she enters the house, Bob catches her. He makes her give her word not to steal anything and goes back to his bedroom. However, upon leaving the house, Jenny breaks her promise and steals a photo of Bob so she can remember the man who was so kind to her. Jenny finally leaves her stepfather and his gang deciding to go straight, meanwhile, Bob has fallen on hard times and plans to commit a robbery. When Jenny finds out his plan, she pulls the heist herself in order to protect him. Then Jenny convinces him to get a job and after having both sworn off crime forever, Bob and Jenny make plans for their marriage.

Written and directed by William C. De Mille , The Ragamuffin is sadly a lost silent film.
