Violent and hard drama about a dysfunctional family being mistreated by an abusive father
ma-cortes26 November 2019
Sad and some depressing film about a peculiar family , including intense drama , strong love scenes , emotion and violence . A wife (Charo López) and her kids follow an existence with violence , and brutallity of the adults , all of them are mistreated by their domineering father that will leave them marked forever . The nasty and fascist father is called Ignacio Costa (Agustín González) who works on dark building business and usually has as hobbie , the hunting . Then thing go wrong and the family -being completely dejected, defeated and nervous- plan the killing of the abusive husband. Based on a real crime : the famous murder of ¨Dulce Neus¨.

Dramatic film dealing with a tyrant father who mistreats his wife and children . This is a downbeat drama/thriller far from ordinary , concerning sexual abuse , obsession , as mother and kids suffering twisted happenings , but things go awry and it results in a grisly killing . It is plenty of moving drama , nudism , emotion , rough sex , thrills , mayhem and a known ending . An intelligent and engaging script which uses moving situations to give us an acceptable movie in a high suspense and complexity and that kept you entertained for the almost 100 minutes of duration . Regarding the complex and violent relationship of a couple and their seriously affected kids through several years until an unpredictable event cruelly hits them . Flawless story with a duo of handsome protagonists , Charo López and Agustin González . Interesting screenplay from prestigious Spanish screen-writers : Gonzalo Goicoechea , director Santiago San Miguel himself and Perla Vonasek. The flick develops a lot of steamy affairs between two main roles involved into an embarrassing and disconcerting relationship . Adding some exploitation moments as the husband and his friend attempt to rape the disconcerting wife . Rightly paced , so-so drama/thriller which neatly combines nail-biting set pieces , love scenes , disagreeable situations and tension . You can find a little flaws in the story lines , there are some left unexplained and others characters end up being implausible . Pay attention the very well played support cast , giving decent interpretations : Cristina Marsillach , Francisco Casares , Francisco Merino , Juan Jesús Valverde , Raúl Fraire, José Yepes , Concha Leza , Fernando Guillén, Andrés Resino , Antonio Gamero, among others .

Being written by Gonzalo Goicoechea , Eloy de la Iglesia's ordinary , who scripted him 10 films , such as Colegas , Navajeros, El Pico 1 , El Pico II , La Estanquera de Vallecas , Los placeres ocultos , La mujer del ministro , El Diputado , Navajeros , Otra vuelta de tuerca. . It contains atmospheric musical score by Ricard Miralles and evocative Cinematography by José García Galisteo . The motion picture was professionally directed by Santiago san Miguel , though with no originality and it failed at boxoffice . Santiago San Miguel was born in 1939 in Donostia-San Sebastián, Guipúzcoa, País Vasco, Spain. He is a writer and director, known for Todos o nadie (1975) , Adiós, Alicia (1977), El Señor de los llanos (1987) Hay que zurrar a los pobres (1991) , Tatiana, la muñeca rusa (1995) , Azaña (2008) and this Crimen en familia (1985) that is a passable movie . rating : 5.5/10 .
