Ella's uncle Buddy recieves a trunk from an old acress. Uncle Buddy wants everyone to stay out of it but Ella opens it and finds out something special about her Uncle.
I first saw this movie last year on Black Starz and saw it again today. Robert Guillaume does a wonderful job as Uncle Buddy, a man who wants to forget some of the pain his past has caused. It's also a wonderful look at african-american filmmaking. The actors seem to put so much into their roles they come across as real people, not sterotypes.
White, Black, or anything else, I suggest anyone watch this film. Like it or hate it you'll walk away feeling for the characters.
