What a nice film! A terrific look at life in San Francisco's lesbian community as it emerged and grew over recent decades. The ever-charming and heroic Del Martin and her lover Phyllis Lyon, as well as the wonderful Sally Gearhart (whom many will recognize from "The Times of Harvey Milk") and many others are interviewed to commemorate the closing of Maud's, a lesbian bar and institution for 23 years. The warmth and goodwill that surrounded this place make this a true feel-good film and a bit of must-see social history.
