Caiter Waiter tells a simple story of wage slaves in the odd position of catering to a bunch of rich people. While they party obliviously, we find out the stories of the people who can feel invisible in the circumstances.

The story focuses on two of the men – both gay, who only connect because of the proximity of their circumstances. Their stories play out slowly, in flashes and glimpses. Ultimately they provide each other with the quiet touching support they both need.

The performers are fantastic. David Drake - famous for The Night Larry Kramer Kissed me - gives a taut, nuanced performance. You also get the fun when watching this movie of spotting NY downtown fixtures like Lisa Kron in the support cast.
