You have been invited to Angela's 3rd annual Hull House party, please RSVP, and please bring a side dish and your soul!

Well, oh, man. LOL! I'm sorry, just I had never really expected before to get into these "Night of the Demons" movies. I think it's because I just had the opportunity which was cool. For a horror movie, sometimes I like it to be a little cliché and cheesy. You've got the bad acting, some scary moments, sex, drugs, alcohol, and unnecessary violence. I just loved the love story between the rebel and the head cheerleader. They were in the middle of getting killed but when they get a minute alone, they're all like "Oh, what would the head cheer leader want with a punk like me?" and they kiss! LOL! So beyond cheesy and unreal, but you get your kicks out of it.

I think I was just in a good mood and I was excited to see the third installment into this trilogy. Is it a movie for all? Heck no and it's not Oscar material. It's just for the horror fans who want to get a little kick out of the horror genre. Angela's back in action and she's ready to throw one "hell" of a party! Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween
claudio_carvalho20 January 2014
On the night of Halloween, the hoodlums Vince (Kris Holdenreid), his vulgar girlfriend Lois (Tara Stone) and their friends Nick (Gregory Calpakis) and Reggie (Joel Gordon) are driving around in the van of Orson (Christian Tessierare). They see the cheerleader Holly (Stephanie Bauder) trying to fix her car and they offer a ride to Holly and her friend Abbie (Patricia Rodriguez).

They stop in a convenience store to buy beer and the clerk suspects of the group and points a shotgun to them but Vince takes the weapon and dominates the situation. But two police officers come to the place and Vince accidentally shots one of them when the clerk grabs his hair. The other policeman shots Reggie in the stomach, but they succeed to escape from the store. But the van is shot on the gas tank and Vince decides to stop the vehicle in the infamous Hull House, considered a cursed place, instead of taking Reggie to the hospital, using the shotgun to force Nick and the other teenagers to follow him. But the place is not abandoned and the demon Angela (Amelia Kinkade) meets them in an human form. Meanwhile, the officer was wearing bulletproof vest and was not wounded and the veteran Lieutenant Dewhurst (Vlasta Vrana) discovers that the clerk is lying after watching the surveillance tape. Dewhurst track them down while the group discovers the truth about the Hull House.

"Night of the Demons III" is flawed, but not as bad as indicates many reviews. I saw this movie for the first time on 24 February 2000 on VHS and I have just seen it again. The story has a poor development of the characters and it is difficult to understand why Nick hangs around with Vince, Lois and Orson. The fate of Abbie, Lieutenant Dewhurst and Reggie are not fair since they are not evil like Vince, Lois and Orson. But the movie entertains considering the budget. My vote is six.

Cheesy but fun
Stevieboy66612 July 2020
Third entry in the series, this was released as Demon House in the UK. Amelia Kinkade is back as the sexy demon Angela, one of her standout scenes here is her simulating oral sex with a pistol, sucking out the bullets. Very erotic! A bunch of no good teens plus a couple of good girls hide out at a haunted house after a serious incident at a fuel station. Released in 1997 this is more typical of an 80's horror movie. Plenty of gore, the effects aren't great but still better than many of today's poor CGI, plus several scenes of gratuitous female nudity. The "teens" are played by actors in their mid 20's but there is some effective friction between the characters, in particular Nick, who's the "good'" guy, and Vince, who is a nasty piece of work. Overall this is no classic, but then neither was the original in my opinion, but if you like a cheesy horror flick then it's delivers.

The first two DEMONS films are enjoyable...
capkronos14 July 2003
This film is anything but.

The plot--A group of really annoying teenagers flee to the haunted Hull House after a convenience store shoot-up. Demonic Angela (Amelia Kinkade, for the third time) kills and possesses most of the cast as soon as they arrive. A guy is run over, a girls hand turns into a snake and two girls strip and look at each others boobs in the mirror. Judging by the photography, the budget seems to have dropped considerably and it lacks the humor, style, campy acting and great make-up effects of the previous two, so it's a total waste of time.

Score: 1 out of 10

Well I found this movie for 1$ at sale at my local library and my brother and I flipped our lid. Both of us are veterans to the series and we more than happy to pay a dollar for it. Unstoppable action, even though its obviously not as good as Angela's first party. Angela is at it again ( even though its a different Angela ) and this movie packs one of the best lines in the series when Angela is in the shed: "Happy Halloween Bi***h!" Definitely a good way to spend 90 mins, but a must see for the Night of the Demons fan.

End of the road
ctomvelu128 October 2009
Weak followup to NOTD2, with Angela back for one more go-round, this time versus a bunch of young punks who rob a store and shoot a cop. They take refuge at Hull House, which they will soon learn to regret. Some decent nudity, sexy situations and actually more special effects than in the first two flicks combined, but weak on everything else. I am glad Mimi Kincaide got to play Angela in all three movies, even though she was getting noticeably older and heftier by the time this second sequel was made. I imagine the filmmakers must have been very tired of the franchise by this point, and it shows. Not a scare to be had.

A Film So Bad That It's Almost Good ...
Theo Robertson23 April 2008
... I did say " almost " DEMON HOUSE as it's known in the UK is one of those horror movies made in the 1990s which uses every single cliché that caused the slow extinction of 1980s horror movies . It starts off with some horny teenagers in a van saying lots of clever things like " I bet your mother ... " and coming close to killing one another . One can't help asking if they despise one another so much then why are they hanging out together ? The answer is simple:this is a horror movie so all logic goes flying out the window

Even so this film is much dumber than most horror movies you will see . For example the story is set up via a shoot out so the teenagers have to go on the run because they think they've killed a cop . That's bad enough but they haven't killed anyone and for reasons that defy any logic a detective decides he'll hunt the kids down because he doesn't want the uniformed cops taking the law into their own hands . Hmmm yeah I'm sure every police detective in the world thinks along the same lines

Meanwhile the horny teenagers hide out in a house that is possessed by a demon . Not so much a demon , more of a MILF . I'm sure if you're a horny male teenager then you'd be unable to keep your eyes in when you see a really hot brunette in her thirties wearing very little , but strangely most of the boys don't seem to notice . Intestingly everyone wanders around alone for no good reason so you don't need me to tell you what happens next and you'll be asking yourself why the protagonists didn't do such and such a thing . The answer is very obvious: this is a horror movie and not a very good one either

Wasn't as Good as the first, but still a good flick!

Hey, I'm a fan of this series, so i'll cut the movie some slack lol! It wasn't as good as the first but still pretty good. The main thing i didn't like is the black dude was so corny with his "Carlton Banks" come backs....if that character wasn't so corny i would have liked it better. Also for who ever wants to purchase the first movie make sure you get the UNRATED VERSION! if you don't you are missing some good gore!

"I'm sitting in a speeding van & your choking the driver, that makes it my business." Decent enough horror.

Warning: Spoilers
Night of the Demons III starts late one Halloween night as a cop (Larry Day) on patrol drives up to the abandoned Hull house & is confronted by sexy demon Angela (Amelia Kinkade) who does some nasty things to him... Orson (Christian Tessier), Reggie (Joel Gordon), Nick (Gregory Calpakis) plus Vince (Kristen Holden-Reid) & his girlfriend Lois (Tara Slone) are driving around looking for some fun when they come across the broken down car of head cheerleader Holly (Stephanie Bauder) & her friend Abbie (Patricia Rodriguez) & offer them a lift. They all then stop at a gas station where thing get out of control & Vince shoots a police officer, in an ensuing shootout Reggie is shot but they all manage to make it back to the van & speed off. With Reggie badly injured & running low on petrol they have no option but to seek shelter & help at Hull house where they meet Angela who sets about killing them all & stealing their souls...

Directed by Jim Kaufman Night of the Demons III is an OK horror film that I thought was fairly watchable, especially for fans of the genre who seem to have a high tolerance level for nonsense such as this. As of now this is the final entry in the Night of the Demons series of films & I have to say that I haven't seen either of the two previous instalment's so I can't compare them, in fact in the UK Night of the Demons III was renamed Demon House & marketed as an original film rather than part of a series. The script by Kevin Tenney moves along at a fair pace, it doesn't seem to take itself too seriously & doesn't try to do anything other than be a straight forward teen horror with lots of one-liners, nudity, sex & a decent amount of gore. For instance the first time we see Abbie & Holly they are both topless for no real apparent reason other to give the audience what they want, gratuitous nudity, & for that I salute Night of the Demons III. There's a fair amount of exploitation & all the ingredients that a low budget film such as this needs to make it watchable. The plotting isn't the best, the character's are somewhat clichéd & there isn't much to it but it's sort of fun on a dumb level, it's short enough not to become tedious & entertains.

Director Kaufman does an OK job & while the film doesn't have a lot of style it has a reasonable atmosphere, a few reasonably effective scenes & he keeps the thing moving along. There are a few demons which look OK & some decent gore, a ripped out still beating heart, someone is shot in the eye, a melting demon & someone has a demon tongue shoot out the back of their head.

Technically the film is alright, it's competent at least. The opening credits feature some poor computer graphics along with a pretty cool sounding theme tune. The acting varies between OK & downright poor.

Night of the Demons III was OK, it's not a masterpiece but I honestly don't think it sets out to be. Personally I think it's well worth a watch if your a horror fan, other's should probably avoid it. Night of the Demons (1988) & Night of the Demons II (1994) were the previous entries.

This is an absolute must see for horror movie and Night of the Demons fan
kevin_robbins22 November 2021
Night of the Demons 3 (1997) is a movie I recently watched for the first time on a random streaming service. The storyline follows some kids out for a good time on Halloween that during a mixup rob a store and shoot a police officer. They look to hideout in a house they come across to get their heads together, they just picked the wrong house...

This movie is directed by Jim Kaufman (The Hunter) and stars Amelia Kinkade (Demons 1 & 2), Larry Day (Arrival), Kris Holden-Ried (Underworld: Awakening), Gregory Calpakis (iZombie) and Joel Gordon (Max Payne).

The storyline for this was very uneven and Angela was far more assertive in this picture. I did like the opening animation, classic 80/90s nudity and there was some classic horror sex scenes in this. Angela was a bit over the top though, as the gun sucking scene was legendary. The makeup and masks in this were top notch, but the CGI wasn't.

Overall this is an absolute must see for horror movie and Night of the Demons fan. I can't call this a good movie, but I can say it's worth watching. I'd score this a 5/10.

Its not meant to be an Oscar-worthy movie. Its just a fun horror flick
gangstahippie10 July 2007
Rated R for strong violence and gore, sexuality and language I have not seen the first two Night Of The Demons movies but I want to.I am the type of person that can enjoy an action or horror movie with bad acting and storyline...if there is tons of mindless action or mindless gore. This movie has bad reviews on this site because people are expecting an Oscar-worthy movie. Its just a fun horror flick with tons of gore, sex and nudity.I hate PG-13 rated horror movies like "The Grudge".The best horror movies are the cheap ones with bad acting and are filled with gore! The movie is about a group of teens on Halloween night who pick up hitchhikers who are planning on going to a party. They stop off at a convenient store but the crazy one of the group, wounds the store-owner and kills some officers. They seek refuge in a haunted house owned by a demon-woman.One by one, they all get turned into demons.Night Of The Demons III is a fun horror flick that's recommended for fans of gory horror films.

A PROPER FUN STRAIGHT TO VIDEO HORROR!!!
lukem-5276011 March 2019
I first saw this Awesome fun little Demon flick way back in the 90's when i rented it at the Blockbuster video store awwww i miss those days so much!!!! Anyway I've loved this horror film since those video days & i brought it on ex-rental video & watched it loads of times & now own it on dvd & still love it!!!! Demon House as it was known to me rather than Night of the Demons 3 really is a fun watch & Not a "Guilty Pleasure" as it's genuinely a well made good Demonic Horror film that has a nice creepy atmosphere,a very 90's fun atmosphere & look plus being set on Halloween night is also a bonus that makes for a nice exciting & spooky thrill ride. Although this is basically or supposed to be the 3rd film in the Night of the Demons trilogy it's also really a stand alone film so you don't have to see the other two films but i have & i actually prefer this fun low-budget 3rd entry.

I grew up watching the excellent Nickelodeon Horror show Are you Afraid of the Dark? During the 90's so it was a nice little surprise that one of the main actors from the best episode & now CLASSIC episode The tale of Laughing in the Dark(a creepy episode about zeebo the clown) is one of the main group of youngsters in Demon House his name is Christian Tessier. There's a cool little group of trouble making teens that end up in big trouble with some cops & find a place to hide out & that place is a big old house haunted by a Demon & well as you can guess the group get killed off & turned into Demons throughout that Halloween night.

This really is good old fashioned 80's & 90's style fun & it's exactly what it is & should be!!! Teens of all types getting picked off in brutal blood & guts style with some filthy fun sex scenes & Awesome demon fx this really is one of the best straight to video Horror movies I've ever seen & I'm a huge Horror film buff. This Horror is perfect late night entertainment & actually it's one of my favourite Horror films!!! A pure 90's survive the night fun as hell Horror flick. There's great music throughout especially the really cool low budget opening scene/introduction which is so cool & so fun with very cheap & cheesy 90's c.g.i it's so cool but for real it's a nice spooky set up with a really nice score. Enough said just enjoy!!!

Angela, Is that You ?
aesgaard4113 December 2000
I don't know what happened, but this is not the same "Night of the Demons" that all us Demon-heads and Angela fans grew to love. The formula and the panache and that made the first two movies such big hits is missing. It's the wrong house for one and the whole style is wrong. Someone tried to duplicate the first two movies instead of continuing on the same line. Amelia Kinkade is barely the same character and someone lowered the soft-porn into raunch.A sequel in name only, this is one big disappointment. In the others, you cared a bit and even liked the characters, but in this installment, you get the feeling that Angela moved location and that the pudding-heads in the van escaped from another movie and took the places of Angela's real future victims. The supernatural style and flair has been replaced by the gore and violence of the "Freddie" movies. Scenes of Angela gliding through the halls taken from the footage of the last movie can't save this. I can't consider this in the canon of the series; if there is another installment, and I truly hope there is, I hope Zoe Trilling returns.

I wasn't impressed
Wizard-829 September 2013
Except for a later remake of the original movie, the "Night of the Demons" series came to an end at this point, and if you ask me, it wasn't a moment too soon. It goes wrong in just about every area you can think of. It's a really cheap affair, from cinematography that at times resembles camcorder footage to tacky CGI effects. The tone of the movie is really slow and downright boring at times - it takes a little more than half of the movie before the characters find they are in serious trouble. But probably the worst thing about the movie are the characters. Except for the law enforcement officers, ALL the character in the movie act incredibly stupid and annoying. I simply didn't care whether they would live or die. Well, actually I DID want them all to die since they were very unpleasant. There is some welcome nudity, but there isn't a terrible amount, and what is displayed isn't exactly spectacular. Thank goodness there wasn't a part four.

Disappointing sequel.
bigpappa1--219 May 2000
A bunch of teens on the run from the law make the mistake of hiding out in hull house, where they are in even more danger, because of Angela the demon. This is by far the worst of the series. Effects are so-so, acting and direction bad for the most part. And in part 1 and 2, Hull House was a rotting mess, but in this one it is in good condition. A few good moments, but they are few and far between. A real disappointment. Avoid it 4 out of 10.

An undemanding yet entertaining horror flick
Red-Barracuda20 June 2013
I haven't seen the first two Night of the Demons films. In fact, I had never even heard of the series when I saw this one. I watched it under the title Demon House so I didn't even know it was a sequel to anything. To be fair, when you take into account that this is the third instalment in a low budget horror franchise it isn't too bad really. Usually by part three horror franchise films have well and truly lost the plot but this one is okay. Its Halloween night and a van of teenagers pitch up at a convenience store where the unhinged member of the party ends up killing a man; they wind up hiding in an old haunted house with a history of violence.

The main thing in this one's favour is that it's fast paced and full of incident. There's nothing new here, nor anything especially memorable but it gets the job done and successfully entertains. The haunted house is the home of a mysterious demon woman who instigates all the unfolding horrors. There's plenty of variety in this carnage and its good stupid fun. In among the gore is a fair smattering of nudity which frankly is never a bad thing really. Peroxide bombshell Tara Sloane was a particularly welcome presence in this area.

In the end Demon House is undemanding but fun.

Cheesy special effects, but pretty good anyway.

The special effects were terrible, but for a horror movie, it was still pretty good. I would watch it again. The head demon really does need to see an orthodontist, though!

One HULL of a good time!
Coventry24 May 2006
"Night of the Demons THREE" is pretty much identical to "Night of the Demons ONE" and "Night of the Demons TWO" but, seriously, who cares? Don't tell me you were looking for breathtaking suspense or intellectual plotting, because you just know you won't find it here! Kevin Tenney, who directed the original but only wrote this sequel, delivers exactly what we expect of him: shallow teenager characters stuck in banal situations, a bit of playful sleaze and an enormous amount of cheesy make-up effects. The silly tone is illustrated very early in the movie already, when two girls compare the size of their breasts, as they're getting ready for the Halloween school prom! The car breaks down on the way over, but the naughty kids in school offer them a ride in their van. Then, under the false impression of having killed a policeman during a clumsy incident at a night shop, the group gets the luminous idea of fleeing to Hull House, where the sexy demon Angela welcomes them with wide open arms. The dialogs and one-liners are a lot less witty than in "Night of the Demons 2", but the pacing is fast and the death-sequences looked gruesome enough to me. Female über-demon Angela (Amelia Kinkade) doesn't look as irresistible anymore as she did in the late 80's, but she still tries to convince us of her sexual powers by demonstrating what oral sex of her would look like (on a pistol!). There's really no point in going on and on about how dumb and redundant this movie is. Instead, you better bring out a six-pack of beers and invite some friends.

Horrible!
Sky358620 August 2003
This Is by far and away the most petty, retarded, un-entertaining Machination filmmakers have ever concocted! Night of the Demons 3 Is the worst movie I've ever seen! Man I would rather watch Barney than this. 1st of all the plot is stupid, they happen to shoot a police officer and he survives OK thats pretty alright, then they send one officer to find the kids, armed?! this is totally dumb any ways I know Hull house and that wasn't Hull House It looks like the film was so poor they borrowed an old man's house for the movie! And for another thing, how many god damn sequels are they going to keep using scenes cut from the original, only good NOTD Movie? reshowing scenes of angela floating through the halls wont save this piece of dung. and Angela has went to hell. she doesn't even look scary in this one. and the first and best one wouldn't say so something so dumb as "fuck this I'm puttin on some music" - Angela, part 3. the movie was totally lame and if you think its cool and are deciding on renting it save your money because it SUCKS!

Meets expectations
quridley8 June 2017
The first 2 NOTD films are stylish, moody, gory horror films with a heavy emphasis on teenage drama. Pt 3 might be the strongest in that last department. The writer/director of Pt 1 wrote its script so its totally in keeping with the lore and story elements of the original. Pt 3 starts with one of the BEST first acts of any film of this genre, setting up great character tension and believable world. The film is cast and directed very well and could've been as good as the original if not better if it weren't for the budget. The film suffers in the special effects and action department. The film has such a strong buildup but the payoffs don't match up, especially the deaths and demon makeups. I was won over by the primitive but highly developed CGI. This is the darkest and most serious film of the trilogy and maybe it should've embraced its camp more to cover its cheapness. But this is a very good low budget horror movie.

Dev-719 March 1999
You get a feeling that this film will turn out to be a big turkey once you take a look at its computer generated credit opening that looks like crap. Just like a previous review, it just gets on your nerves. For the film it's just the same old thing all over again except the kids are juvenile delinquents. The ending leaves an unnecessary opening for another sequel and the way they executed that was very poor. Really - don't bother with this crap.

Great conclusion to the original series
slayrrr66617 July 2008
Warning: Spoilers
"Night of the Demons 3" is a serviceable entry in the series with a lot to like about it.

**SPOILERS**

Traveling to a party, Nick, (Gregory Calpakis) Lois, (Tara Sloane) Reggie, (Joel Gordon) Vince, (Kristen Holden-Ried) and Orson, (Christian Tessier) come across Abbie, (Patricia Rodriguez) and her friend Holly, (Stephanie Bauder) stranded on the side of the road. After a trip to a liquor store goes horribly wrong, they all head out and try to hide out from the situation. When they come across a house in the middle of nowhere, they realize it's the infamous Hull House, but ignore the warnings about it being haunted and stay there anyway. Coming upon Angela Franklin, (Amelia Kinkade) who lives in the house, they decide to come up with a way to escape. When they realize that they're being killed off one-by-one, their plan to escape gets even more desperate as the demons try to prevent it from happening.

The Good News: This one here actually wasn't all that bad at all. The film's best point, like all the other entries in the series, is that the special effects here drive the film. From the rather fun and interesting looking demons, which here still have the distorted faces, large red eyes, fang-lined mouths and demonic-scales all over them which manage to impart them with a fantastic look, to how the humans and demons are killed to the powers that they demonstrate to terrorize the others around them, there's plenty of special effects in here which look really great. There's a great scene where they all change into the various versions of their past lives, complete with the bloody wounds that were inflicted before their death yet transformed into the demon make-up and it's overall a great scene. The kills in here are just as memorable, with there being a hand punched through a chest and pulling a heart out, a police badge thrown into the face, having a chest scratched up, a forked tongue shoved into the mouth and explodes out the back of the head and having a car run over them, among others. There's also the demon's deaths, which are again accomplished with the usual holy-water-that-melts-the-skin technique that really produces some messy scenes. The confrontations with the demons in here are also really great, and the last-half hour of the film is just really great as there's just a never-ending series of confrontations and chases through the house. From the Satan-masked demon that chases them through the different levels to the main one from down in the basement up into the main part of the house and out into the front yard where there's the great demonic confrontation, it has a whole lot of great parts that are just plain fun. The last best part of the film, though, is that there's plenty of nice cheese in here. From the action to the make-up to the really nice nudity and the romantic scene in the middle of the chase, it feels really cheesy and definitely a lot of fun. These here are all that make the film really enjoyable.

The Bad News: There wasn't a whole lot to this one that doesn't work. The robbery angle here is the main thing which doesn't make much sense at all. This is completely handled the wrong way, since it puts every single one of them in danger from the police, based on what they find on the surveillance tape yet at the end the survivors are told that there's no evidence of them being on it. This indicates that they had seen it, yet the actions that would've been caught by those who were on it don't deserve the police following them, and yet the film throws in the segments with them doing all the wrong things to make it go on, which is really the biggest part of it all. The film's rather large cheese factor is something else here, but the misstep over the cop angle here is the biggest problem.

The Final Verdict: A really enjoyable and impressive entry, if just not up to the level of the other entries yet still being good on it's own. If you've liked the others then there's nothing that should stop a viewing, and those who enjoy these kinds of films should as well, while those who aren't big fans should heed caution.

The best of the Night of the Demons movies.
BA_Harrison12 July 2006
Judging by the IMDb ratings and reviews, I think I must be the only person who feels that 'Night of the Demons 3' is the best of the trilogy. That is not to say that I think it is a great film—just the best of a bad bunch.

A group of teenagers wrongly believe that they have wasted a policeman in a Quicky Mart shootout and seek refuge at Hull House, the possessed property from the first two movies. They are killed one-by-one, returning from the dead as hideous demons. A recently retired policeman is searching for them, but will he find them before it is too late?

Unlike the first two films, this one is competently directed, fairly well acted and even foregoes most of the juvenile comedy of its predecessors to concentrate on creepy scenes and genuinely freaky moments. Director Jim Kaufman manages to deliver some pretty good action (the convenience store shootout is a well conceived set-piece) and occasional scares. The babe quality isn't quite up to that of the previous movies, and the gore quotient is slightly less, but this didn't seem to matter since the story rattled along at a fairly decent pace.

'Night of the Demons 3' won't win any awards for originality, but, accompanied by a few beers, it passes the time quite nicely.

Third outing in the series and , amazingly, nobody has thought of demolishing the house and having a priest pee all over the foundations (or something suitable that would destroy the evil).

This time the house is visited by a van full of teens who are on the run from the law. Some of them are on from the law, at least, and some of them are just caught up in the middle of things. Unsurprisingly, Angela welcomes in the new blood with open arms.

This has just as much fun with the gore and the death as the previous two movies but it takes a step down with the level of acting throughout. Almost everyone involved here is pretty poor and it's not surprising that you won't recognise any of the faces. What is surprising is that the third outing in this series is still almost as much fun just because of the freedom and opportunities provided by the central idea. This may be the one I'd not choose to watch again but I certainly wouldn't mind if it ever did appear on my TV and I was distracted by it.
