good Australian short
Brutus-1114 September 1999
The unexpected twists of meaning meant that this film can be said to be humourous, although the humour is pretty black. The feminist reading of it is obvious, but it is a short with broad appeal to non-femo-theorists alike.

Surrealist Comedy/Commentary with tinges of Horror
bvnnnnnn18 April 2013
Saw this at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney yesterday, definitely had my attention, there's obviously some commentary going on here about women's role in a soccer mom/pack mule capacity, some of it ends up bordering on surrealist terror, which was slick and unnerving, there's a scene at a beach with a picnic that actually gave me chills, keyword: the tide. Felt like they were filming a dream.

There's also some pent-up sexual frustration going on in a gas station scene with some ultra-suggestive imagery that starts of camp and funny but goes awry. Good stuff, stuck in my head long after, dug the way it was filmed and presented. Yeh, that's about it.
