Every five years, it feels like the Dragon Ball Z saga finds a way of coming back into the public eye to prove once again why it is one of the top-animated action series of all time. Recently, Funimation began the process of restoring all the original Dragon Ball Z movies uncut for DVD and Blu-Ray release. Anyone who watched Dbz back on the Cartoon Network knows what this means. The cartoon had been severely cut from its Japanese roots and great moments like Trunks peeing on Broly’s head were lost to newcomers to Dragon Ball Z fan base. Funimation used da Vinci machines to ensure that all the vibrant colors were true to the original prints when converted to HD.
