Not all of it is lost!

Parts of this early Valentino drama, or should I say Katherine MacDonald drama, since she's the STAR, showed up in the documentary "Legend of Rudolph Valentino"(1962, on video 1982). It has a clip of Valentino at the beach trying to impress MacDonald by wading fully dressed into the surf to rescue a little baby. The only reason this movie probably has any consciousness today is most certainly for Valentino being in it. MacDonald, no matter how beautiful she was, has been forgotten in the annals of the silent film. Notice how much Katherine MacDonald favors one of Valentino's later co-stars, Agnes Ayres from the Sheik & Son of the Sheik. These two women must have had the same make-up scheme. Very accentuated line-mouths with a sort of pucker. Anyhow this was the beauty standard of the day. But it would be nice to see this seemingly sprightly adventure in it's entirety if the whole film exists.
