Regional sports networks (RSNs) may be crumbling across the United States these days, but Nesn doesn’t share those troubles. Backed financially by the same companies that own the Boston Bruins and Boston Red Sox, fans don’t have to worry about this channel going under any time soon.
Cord-cutting fans in the New England market may well be wondering what the best way to watch the channel is as the NHL playoffs and MLB season get underway. After all, the Bruins are the prohibitive favorite in the NHL’s Eastern Conference, having set regular season records for points and wins this year. The Red Sox are looking to bounce back from a disappointing 2022 season, and the 2023 season is just heating up!
Fortunately, there are several ways for you to enjoy Nesn in the New England market if you want to see Red Sox, Bruins, and more games this season!

The Last Temptation of Aria Montgomery begins in this episode of Pretty Little Liars, titled "Power Play," as A.D. and her lackey Sydney WhatsHerFace give Aria the chance to come over to the winning side. Meanwhile, Emily has some twisted relationship drama, Spencer's continued search for Mary Drake unearths plenty of secrets and Hanna uncovers some troubling information about an old friend.
This episode certainly isn't resting on its laurels! The season finally feels like it's propelling forward, as answers seem to beget new mysteries.

In the past few years, DC Comics have partnered with General Mills to offer exclusive comics packaged inside some of the most popular cereal boxes on the market. Well, the time has once again come for us to hunt down more books featuring the Justice League at our local grocer.
Before we get to the limited edition comics themselves, let’s discuss what separates this year’s offerings from those previous: The fact that known creators are putting heroic spins on cereal mascots. Don’t expect drastic overhauls as people still need to recognize the fictitious spokesmen, but I’d still say they’re certainly memorable.

All bets are off when it comes to the 2014 Olympics. Russia’s Men’s Ice Hockey team was expected to do extremely well, but were shockingly eliminated on Feb. 19 when they lost 3-1 to Finland.
No home-rink advantage there. With a goalie as strong as Tuukka Rask, it was impossible for Russia’s hockey team to overtake Finland’s in the Olympic games in Sochi, causing them to lose in the quarterfinals.
Russia Loses In Olympics’ Men Ice Hockey
“Russia had chances but could never put the puck in the net, frustrated by some great saves,” said CBS News’ Steve Futterman from Sochi. “As the final seconds ticked off, you could the emotional strain on the faces of the Russian team.”
Juhamatti Aaltonen and Teemu Selanne scored early goals at the Boyshoy Ice Dome for the Finns, followed by a later shot by Mikael Granlund. Goalie Tuuka Rask made a whopping 37 saves.

Four sneak preview clips from Sunday's midseason finale of Revenge show Daniel making a major play for control of Grayson Global, with potentially wide-ranging fallout for himself and numerous other characters.
Case in point? Nolan Ross. Marco Romero, who we met in last week's flashback-heavy episode, makes his 2012 debut and informs Daniel about the vanishing $500 million account, but not where the money went.
Daniel makes Nolan an offer allowing him to avoid divulging that information, but it involves a transfer of power that will forever alter NolCorp. It's a ruthless move, but Mr. Ross may have no choice but to acquiesce.
Meanwhile, Ashley urges Daniel to make sure Aiden is properly vetted before expanding his role on the Grayson Global board, and Victoria encourages Daniel to call off his takeover attempt, but won't say why.
Also, baby Carl's christening ceremony becomes surprisingly emotional for godmother Emily.

I’ve been a fan of Reilly Brown’s artwork since I first came across it in Marvel’s Cable & Deadpool, and have been following it off and on ever since. There are a lot of artists I like out there, but Reilly is consistently a favorite of mine – his characters’ expressions and the way his drawings capture the energy and emotion of whatever’s happening on the page really appeal to me. I also consider him among the pioneers of the digital comics medium. One of his current projects, Power Play, is a digital comic that was the first effective use of the medium that I had ever seen. To pull from my thoughts when I reviewed the Power Play preview in 2011:
“This is the kind of thing I geek out about, because it excites me to see the potential of the medium being explored to enhance the reading experience.

Warning: Significant spoilers follow!
I’ve never really had the chance to develop much of an impression of the Second Doctor’s companion, Victoria Waterfield (Deborah Watling). Like most people, I’ve only ever seen her one complete story (“The Tomb of the Cybermen”), and nothing else. She hasn’t even been featured in very many Big Finish audios. But now she’s back, and she’s with the Sixth Doctor (Colin Baker) and Peri (Nicola Bryant).
“Power Play“, which is the most recent entry in the “Lost Stories” series (stories that were going to be made for the old TV series but, for whatever reason, weren’t). It tells the tale of the Doctor and Peri on the run from what appear to be, essentially, space cops. They arrive on Earth in what I presume to be the current era and find a group of...

Harold And Maude (Criterion) Hal Ashby’s masterpiece of black humor centers on a wealthy young man (Bud Cort) who’s obsessed with death and the septuagenarian (Ruth Gordon) with whom he finds true love. As unabashedly romantic as it is quirky, with Cat Stevens supplying one of the great film scores of all-time. Fine support from Vivian Pickles, Cyril Cusack, Charles Tyner, and Ellen Geer. Fine screenplay by Colin Higgins. Also available on Blu-ray disc. Bonuses: Commentary by Hal Ashby biographer Nick Dawson, producer Charles Mulvehill; Illustrated audio excerpts from seminars by Ashby and Higgins; Interview with Cat Stevens. Widescreen. Dolby 2.0 stereo.
In Darkness (Sony) Agnieszka Holland’s Ww II epic tells the true story of a sewer worker and petty thief in Nazi-occupied Poland who single-handedly helped hide a group of Jews in the city’s labyrinthine sewer system for the duration of the war.

Shirish Kunder has just announced that Joker has been postponed by two weeks. The result? Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger has three open weeks at the box-office, before the release of Emraan Hashmi’s Raaz 3.
Between Ek Tha Tiger on August 15th and Raaz 3 on September 7th, there are just three films confirmed for release.
Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi starring Farah Khan and Boman Irani on 24th August Power Play starring Arjun Rampal and Chitrangada Singh on 24th August Remake of Chashme Baddoor starring Ali Zafar on 31st August
None of those films are likely to pose any kind of threat to Ek Tha Tiger. Yet another Blockbuster for Salman Khan?
Update: While we haven’t received any official press release, Ranbir Kapoor’s Barfee might release on August 31st.

Chicago – Seann William Scott (“American Reunion”) does the best work of his career in the raunchy hockey comedy “Goon,” recently released on Blu-ray and DVD. Co-written by “Superbad” writer Evan Goldberg and co-star Jay Baruchel, this is a clever little sports comedy that should find a loyal audience on the home market.
Rating: 3.5/5.0
Scott plays bouncer-turned-player Doug Glatt with a clever mix of innocent loyalty and self-aware sweetness. He takes a part that could have been unbearable and makes him into a very likable guy. We root for Doug because Scott grounds the character instead of turning him into the caricature that he could have become. This is a guy who didn’t think he was very good at anything and found out that he could play a role on the ice and maybe even get the girl. Scott carries the movie by presenting his journey as one that comes...

This week: Sam Worthington plays a prison escapee who orchestrates an intricate heist while clinging to the outside of a tall building in the appropriately titled action thriller "Man on a Ledge."
Also new this week are the Amanda Seyfried thriller "Gone," the hockey-themed comedy "Goon" (no relation), and Ralph Fiennes' adaptation of Shakespeare's "Corionalus."
'Man on a Ledge'
Box Office: $19 million
Rotten Tomatoes: 31% Rotten
Storyline: An ex-cop (Sam Worthington) escapes from prison to prove his innocence and steal the $40 million diamond he was accused of swiping from a ruthless businessman (Ed Harris). With the world watching, he jumpstarts the heist from a precarious ledge of the Roosevelt Hotel as a disgraced negotiator (Elizabeth Banks) tries to talk him down and his brother (Jamie Bell) races against time to get the diamond.
Extras! Both the DVD and Blu-ray contain an odd feature: Banks giving funny commentary on the trailer.
