It is not easy for everybody to face challenges of life especially psychological shocks.There are some people who bear such a pain with astounding audacity.There are some people who react differently to events like accident,death and suicide.Les Yeux Fermés is a film about how a bad event in life drives a person to take drastic steps.This is a film about a desperate soul who decides to close his eyes forever in order to live in a heartless society where blind people have a tough time living.It is a known fact that it is not at all easy for anyone to close eyes.The only time when one closes eyes is when someone is not alive.It is for this reason that closing eyes before one is dead is considered to be an act of daredevilry. Gerard Desarthe plays the role of a blind man with amazing ease.He is helped in his pursuit by French film director Joel Santoni who has extracted fine performances from him and other actors.One should see his fine performances as an actor who aimlessly wanders around Paris pretending to be a real blind man.Les Yeux Fermés is an assault on a cruel society which has failed to recognize the importance of blind people.
