With its preposterous name and inane plot (modern women accidentally travel back in time to the wild west where they are mistaken for prostitutes), this movie seems like campy fun. But it's not. The creators take themselves very seriously and briefly attempt to touch issues of racism and violence. The end result is a movie that isn't funny, isn't campy, and is painful to watch. If you're looking for something cheesy to watch, look elsewhere.

I knew that the real reason I rented this movie was because of the title. Who can resist Tales of the Saddle Tramps as a name? I should have known better, and I will never rent movies like this again. The acting was unbearable, the lame sets were something out of Wild West Town, and to top it all of, it was borderline soft pornography. The best thing about this movie was returning it back to the video store where I got it. Do yourself a favor, and don't bother with this poor excuse for a movie.
It didn't meet my needs. [:-( Disappointment.

The movie has a cool story, a beautiful female cast, erotic sex scenes, but it could be more daring. There is a lot of chest nudity, but little xotal and butt nudity. They could also reduce the conversations in the old west a little and add some tub baths. While I really enjoyed watching it and was pleasantly entertained, I was also very disappointed. The plot/story was contrived, silly, corny and, frankly, not very well presented. For a low-budget softcore film, the cast, acting, and sets weren't too bad, but the weaknesses of the script and Sam Silver's direction outweighed everything else..

We start with two women bored with their inattentive husbands, and on vacation/business. When those two women are Kim Yates and Amy Lindsay, this type of Skinemax fare should earn your interest.
As the husbands attend a conference, the women are sent off to an Old West town, and the place is pretty deserted. While exploring the saloon, they touch a mirror which pulls them in and transports them to 1888. We'd just watched the pilot for Outlaws, where five men are struck by lightning and transported from 1899 to 1986, so this seemed the perfect followup.
What follows are scenes between two character who have nothing to do with the story ... a young man and a supposed Indian maiden ... no longer a maiden after their two scenes. A scene with the sheriff, who looks just like Amy Lindsay's husband, Amy and a saloon customer ... as they've been mistaken for newly arriving saloon girls ... Kim and a preacher who looks like HER husband.
With the looks of the women in this movie, all the simulated sex scenes work.

In this early Surrender Cinema softcore offering, Kim Yates and Amy Lindsay get transported back to the old west. They become prostitutes, have sex with a priest, get thrown in jail, and escape. None of those things are actually related though.
There are seven sex scenes. Six are boy/girl and one is boy/girl/girl. All of them are good. I thought the two scenes with Kim were the best. In addition to Kim and Amy, we also get an eyeful of Amber Newman, Shannon Malone, and Taimie Hannum. Since this is a Surrender release, the only thing you hear during the sex scenes is music. The sex isn't as hot as some of Surrender's better releases, but it's much better than their worst ones.
