Tight.

This film is a very nice debut for Fiore. All the aspects of this film are in proportion to each other. Which is more than I can say for most hollywood films these days. I especially liked the 16mm color, to add a little grittiness to the already dark story. I can't repeat myself enough, everything in this film was top notch. The acting, the direction, the art direction and most of all the succinct plot. I can't wait to see Fiore's next film.

Don't play doctor if you don't like dead people
Lumiere-518 January 2001
This short film about a med student with a fear of death captures the true spirt of Grand-Guignol: farcical and frightening at the same time, with a menacing professor, a hilarious janitor and a slightly off-balance hero. Oh yeah, and dead people; lots and lots of dead people. If you get a chance to see it, do. You will be entertained.

I enjoyed this film so immensely that I can only express myself through haiku:

A beautiful film: Suspense, thrills and comedy... perfectly blended.

Comedy and suspense collide with chilling results
malibusean17 July 2000
From its very opening scene, "Cadaverous" promises a terrifying and darkly humorous tour into the world of a necrophobic medical student. The ensuing twenty minutes of twists and turns that follow never fails to live up to that promise.

A movie so full of tension it can be rated by how far down the audience has chewed into their fingernails, "Cadaverous" relishes in the classic horror and comedy techniques it incorporates, while never failing to give them the kind of unique perspective that lends the movie its refreshing originality. It is a rare experience to find a short film that delivers so much like a full length feature. But "Cadaverous" is exactly that.

Cadaverous is a wonderful mix of suspense with dashes of dark humor. From the opening credits until the very last scene the chaotic world of a medical student is brought to life. It captivates and amazes without pause. Excellent!

An hilarious and exciting short film that shows true talent in the hands of filmmaker Michael Fiore. Two thumbs up on one of the most original and well made short films in recent years.

Director Michael Fiore has truly outdone himself as he takes the audience on a tour of the fears and inner-workings of main character Tony De Marco. An excellent blend of suspense and comedy all masterfully delivered, this visual roller-coaster keeps viewers spellbound. Fiore's superior technical abilities coupled with a riveting storyline make "Cadaverous" a must-see for all suspense lovers.
