A young boy who plays Detective with his Uncle, solves a mystery
tinman1960200318 October 2005
This made for television special is strictly for the kids. Young boy plays "Sherlock Holmes" with his Uncle (Royal Dano) Dano teaches the boy to use deductive logic to find the answers to mysteries. One day, the boy is shocked to discover a crime has been committed and skips church to try to solve the crime. When the wrong man is blamed, his father asks the uncle not to encourage the lad in his "detecting". But the real culprit tricks the boy into going with him to a deserted area, now the boy is in real danger and must use the skills he learned from 'Uncle Sherlock' to keep himself safe. Strictly for the kids after school. The story is a little hokey, but certainly no one can object to it's clean language, subdued violence (hinted at off camera) and family values (the parents go to church). Taken for what it is, this film is a 5.
