'Girls Down Under' shares a lot in common with another Playboy title 'Shagalicious British Babes' in trying to showcase a certain subset of foreign ladies. It isn't your typical high production values for one. Secondly if it wasn't for getting to hear them speak they wouldn't stand out and the theme would flop. You get native Erika Heynate as host who also shows local sights and chats with men, but doesn't get naked.

"The Beach" has Lucy Halliday a gorgeous tanned busty brunette get out of her bikini. Some nice views of her body start things off right (4 mins not including interview). "Boating" finds blonde Petta Longstaff stripping slowly on a yacht in Sydney harbor on a bright sunny day. She ends up laying out nude on the Australian flag which was a nice touch to an otherwise tame segment (4 mins).

"Body Painting" has Corelie Eichholtz join a lady with tribal paint on a beach (later we can identify it's Sarah). Corelie gets down to being naked and then gets red color applied to herself (4.5 mins). "On Safari" has Rachael Ingram arrives in a jeep and strip from her clothing and pour water over herself at one point (5 mins). "The Forest" is Sarah Eichholtz (looks a lot like Sandra Shine) naked in a jungle, stripping from a zebra print bikini. Some nice views including her up in a tree nude (almost 5 mins).

"Tribal Dance" has Simone Suthwart dance around. She's really good looking, but the idea didn't do much for me (3.5 mins). "Fruitful Bedtime" is Coralie & Petta together for a very lite girl/girl with some touching and feeding each other fruit in a bed (6.5 mins). As a "Bonus" after the feature is done, we get Australian Shannon Long - Playmate Oct 1988. Her pictorial gets shown and you get to hear from her, but as was common at that time, nudity is fleeting during the video segments (6.5 mins).

'Girls of Down Under' isn't a standout title and that's nothing against the ladies featured. Things could be hotter for sure, but it's the time wasted on the host and with interviews that sinks it further. The 'Surviving The Australian Outback' subtitle must have been a lame attempt at some sort of 'Survivor' tv show tie-in back in 2000 too.
