This is truly a piece of modern-day Christmas tradition for anyone over the age of 30. The last time it was broadcast here in Vancouver, B.C. was on CKVU 13 back in, I think, 1984, and fortunately I was switched-on enough at the time to hit 'Record' on my first-generation mono VCR, and now seem to possess the only copy of the thing anyone's ever come across. Despite the less-than-stellar quality (off-air -- no cable, no satellite), it's still 'Christmas' incarnate for me, and I watch it religiously every Christmas.
Update Dec 12 2008: There are VHS copies floating around Ebay etc. now, and Pyramid Media now has it available on DVD. Good Hunting!
(Also check out Good King Wenceslas - none other than Leo "Rumpole of the Bailey" McKern. Hard to mistake that voice.)
