This is not a bad show!!!!!
scoobyluvr6 January 2006
This show is shown in it's entirety in Mexico. The reason why it seems confusing is because it's cut down from two hours to just one hour here in the U.S.. If you ever get a chance to see it in its entirety you'll like it. I've also noticed that sometimes they get a segment from one show and another segment from a different one so it get's tough to follow at times but you can't blame the cast. This show is an entertaining variety show with different segments and contests geared towards the family.

The beautiful Galilea Montijo makes the show even better she's very sexy, funny, and talented. The other co-hosts aren't bad either the newest addition being "Jaki" a Cuban national who won a contest to be on the show is a good replacement for Montijo who recently left the show in October but is still being featured in re-runs here in the U.S.. The comedy skits are fun but sometimes unsuccessful but the crowd cheers on in support or in involvement, the crowd is very active on this show. The band is not the greatest band in the world but it's acceptable.

Overall the show is a good family oriented program that is entertaining. I like the show even though here in the states it's usually a collage of different shows and segments, but the cast makes the show fun and entertaining.

Felicidades!
I would have to disagree with the other comment left here. I had an opportunity to watch the show with my wife in Panama, who absolutely adores it. (By the way, in Spanish, "felicidades" means "Congratulations". Generally, all the names announced before the song are people having birthdays.)

Very true, that if you don't speak Spanish, you'll have very little idea of what is going on. It is very much a comedy-variety show. They like to bring in people to impersonate music celebrites, or have guests act out scenes from a telenovela, or cook, or do any number of things, and have the celebrity panel rate the act or the food or the whatever one through five. (And when they unanimously give a five, they get up and dance.)

I was initally drawn to the show because of my wife's love of it, and my love of staring at Galalea, but I stayed because it's fun if you know what is going on.

Great Variety Show!!

Vida TV is a great "stress reliever" after a long day at work!

It is a talent show which consists of dancing, singing, modeling, impersonations and personal (strange, bizarre) talents!

The competitors are judged by latin superstars, i.e., from television, music, comedy and bigscreen, and are rated 1-5 (one being the lowest and five the highest). If a competitor gets all 5's (s)he is rewarded with all the judges and hosts doing a foxtrot! At the end of the program the competitor with the highest rating wins on the average of $500 USD.

This show is very risque with its dialogue of a sexual nature which is actually refreshing to see on daytime programming!

So if you understand spanish, are not insulted by mature banter and love to poke fun at people who think they have talent and are not embarrassed to show the world that they really don't then this program is for you!!
