Death Wish of the South Indian Cinema
This is the story of Professor Vijay, who gets caught in the middle of a gangster's business operation, who in turn uses his influence to kill the Professor's mother and rape his sister. With nowhere left to go, the Professor takes law into his own hands and goes on a revenge killing spree. The Professor is suspected of unexplainable murders happening in the city by a detective, Singaram. Finally, the Professor executes all those who were involved in the brutal rape and murder, including the racket leader.

Detective Singaram understands the Professor's situation and helps him get released when convicted of murder. The Detective convinces the Judge by putting him in a situation similar to that of the Professor's. In that circumstance, the Judge realizes that whatever the Professor did was correct and human. Professor Vijay is freed eventually by the Judicial System and allowed to walk free.

This is the story of a righteous kill in a revenge-related plot. This shares similar plots with the Hollywood film Death Wish and the Hindi film, Aaj Ki Awaaz (which again is a remake of Death Wish for the Indian audience).

An acceptable ending with over-the-top action scenes. Seven out of ten rating.
