A two-reel number with some interesting character work in it. King Baggot plays the part of a dissolute young English clubman who makes a bet that he can earn five pounds by real work. He dresses as a costermonger and starts out as a peddler with a burro and cart. He meets the coster girl and her father, portrayed by Arline Pretty and Frank Smith. He defends the girl from a drunken sea captain and falls in love with her. Later he loses the five pound note he has earned, but still considers himself winner as he has the girl's love. This has a romantic flavor and possesses numerous entertaining features. - The Moving Picture World, March 13, 1915
