best live DVD I own
knifeintheeye12 April 2006
This is a perfect live show.

Motorhead always puts on a good show (I saw them in 2000 and 2005) but this show is great. The sound is magnificent! It's everything a live DVD should be...including wicked menu screens (if you've seen them you know...yum) and dynamite bonus features. Plus other smaller length live shows as well and videos.

The song selection was great. God Saves the Queen sounds amazing. Iron Fist, We Are Moterhead, Overkill...classics.

I cannot recommend this enough. If you are a Motorhead fan, you MUST own this. If you're interested in Motorhead and need an introduction, buy it, you will get hooked.

And to anyone who says this is not THE definitive Motorhead lineup...wake up.

Great show, unbelievable DVD

This is 5.1 surround heavy metal heaven. And not only the show is great, also the DVD itself is wonderful. Extra tracks, unplugged track, goodies, easter eggs and more. This is a 25th anniversary worthy release if there ever was one!

Unbelievable show but....

....the audio mix is lacking drums in a bad way. And because of this the overall mix suffers in my opinion. This is not a good thing for a live concert on DVD. If the sound quality for Boneshaker was as solid as its contemporary live CD "Everything louder than everyone else", then this DVD would get 9 stars in my opinion. Knowing how good this DVD is as far as a record of the current lineup's live power, it makes me sad that I don't get the urge to drop this into my home system and crank it up. The snare is flat. The floor toms are non-existent as virtually all other toms. And Mickey's awesome bass drums sound to be waaaaay in the back. I cried when I saw Fast Eddie get on stage, in glorious nostalgia, and because the sound sucks. Hopefully their next live DVD which is soon to be released in the States, "Stagefright", does not suffer the same mortal flaw as Boneshaker. This DVD was too well produced (although I hear a lot of people complain about the fast changing camera angles) with all its sweet interviews, bonuses, videos and guests to get released with a bummer mix.
