The best police B movie in Mexico
TheMexFilm27 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Police movies have always been some of the best in the world, especially those that have action scenes, drugs and interesting themes that are very predictable in most cases. A clear example is the movie "El Judicial" which has too much action, weapons, drugs and a few sofctore scenes. The film tells the life of a detective and how for many years he has been in a difficult situation: quitting his job or becoming one of the best honest police officers in the city. Without a doubt, this film offers everything good and bad about Mexican action cinema (regular performances, continuous explosions and a lot of violence) that make it a classic in all police films in national cinema. The performance of Humberto Elizondo as the villain in turn and Miguel Angel Rodriguez were a complete success, especially when it comes to the fact that the scene where they confront each other led to one of the best scenes in the entire film, which makes us see that anything is possible in these types of genres. The prime of the film was when El Judicial discovers the death of his wife and daughter, making us see one of the hardest scenes in all of national cinema and which gave more acceptance to Miguel Angel Rodriguez in national cinema, a sensitive scene that It shows us how difficult the life of a police officer can be when he is not in public view.
