Satheeshan (Jayaram), son of Gopi (Murali) is unemployed and is unable to find a job despite his best efforts.Gopi is a Head Master at School and tries to run the family despite having an unemployed son. Indu (Divya Unni)plays the love interest of Satheeshan .Her father K.K. Nair (Janardhanan) is against her marriage with Satheeshan .How events shape his opinion about the relationship forms part of the story. Gopi is a helpful person and tries to help the family (extended) as much as he can. Sukumaran (Nedumudi Venu) plays the role of a school teacher as well as Gopi's friend.The film chronicles Gopi and Satheeshan's struggles as well as that of their family.
