Not even for poor standards of entertainment.

Agustin Bernal and Jorge Reynoso star in this sequel to the infamous "7 En La Mira" which is the Mexican version of Mad Max.

This sequel gained notoriety back in the mid 80's when the Mad Max movies were a huge success. Sadly, "7 En La Mira II" isn't near as good as the American movies.

This time Mario Almada didn't return as the sheriff and that was a bad decision because Mr. Almada is the best Mexican bad-ass on movies.

This sequel has the same elements of the original, and it does not offers anything new (just a new Sheriff and a crazy Mayor).

So my advice would be, avoid this one at all costs. It isn't even entertaining. Heck, even the action is lowered down.

Warning: Spoilers
First of all, Siete en la Mira can not be the Mexican version of Mad Max. These movies are completely different, perhaps the one similarity was that Gibson and Almada fought against punks. Originally, I had no good expectations toward this sequel, because main characters, Mario and Fernando Almada were missing. Fernando's character died at the end of the first Siete en la Mira and Mario did not reprise the tough Sheriff Ventura. This time Jorge Reynoso played once again the role of the gang leader, but this time is the older twin brother of "Vikingo" (The one that he played on the first). The guy recruited a new gang in order to avenge his little brother's death. The new hero was another Mexican badass, Alvaro Zermeño, who played Humberto Ventura. Unlike the legendary Mario Almada who uses his trademark whip; Zermeño uses his bow and arrows to kill every punk that crosses on his way to preserve the peace and the order in his town. This movie is not better than the previous one, however this sequel is recommendable for those fans of Mexican action movies. The end of this movie is an opening for the next chapter.
