Don't be fooled by the title: this is about hell, not Christ
Jack Chick's tracts are ugly affairs intent on scaring people into heaven, and this film is no different. He seems to think that, instead of making a case for repentance and salvation through Jesus, it's enough to just make a case against burning in hell. That is not the sort of thing that inspires true life transformation. As a Christian, I find this film embarrassing and a detriment to our cause.
Contrast _Light of the World_ with _The Passion of the Christ_. Both go heavy on the startling imagery, to be sure. But where _The Passion of the Christ_ portrays the depth of suffering Christ was willing to endure for our sake (and therefore, the depth of His love), _Light of the World_ seeks only to hint at the suffering the viewer will experience if she or he rejects Jesus. It's the difference between a message and a threat.
