Video Games: The Movie attempts to be the definitive documentary on this history of video games. With mountains of information and insight from fans, video game designers, and notable figures in the industry it goes deep into what video games where and what they are now. The issue is the topic is treated with such a light approach it comes off as a campaign ad for video games—one absent of criticism or captivating exploration. Video Games: The Movie certainly knows how to sell its product. The issue is the only people it’s selling to are already buying.
Showing it stance right from the start, director Jeremy Snead displays some gumption by opening with a quote from Gandhi. ““A small body of determined spirits fired by an unquenchable faith in their mission can alter the course of history.” Being cliche aside, it is clear Video Games: The Movie shows...

NCIS, Season 10, Episode 20: “Chasing Ghosts”
Written by Nicole Mirante-Matthews
Directed by Arvin Brown
Airs Tuesdays at 8pm (Et) on CBS
Opening with a recap, “Chasing Ghosts” gets back on track by focusing on Ziva’s discreet pursuit of Ilan Bodnar, the man responsible for the deaths of Eli David and Jackie Vance.
The episode deals less with the progress of Ziva’s manhunt and more with Tony’s suspicions of her, flipping the perspective from her grief, to his concern for her. His sleuth mode initiates enjoyable banter between him and McGee, whose deception in the end sets up possible conflict between the two in the future, hopefully further explored as the season reaches its climax. While he’s usually invading his co-worker’s work space with the intent of exposing their secrets, Tony’s loyalty to Ziva on a more personal level suggests that he’s more likely...

We’ve been patiently (or not so patiently) waiting for NCIS' Tony and Ziva to finally take their relationship to the next level, but this week’s episode looks more promising due to, among other things, the below picture of the twosome (played by Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo) in each other’s arms.
I jumped on the phone last week with Executive Producer Gary Glasberg to find out just how close Tiva will get in "Berlin," as well how much newcomer Marina Sartis is going to mix it up with Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and how the upcoming addition of Colin Hanks is going to rock our team.
TV Fanatic: Let’s jump right to it. In the “Berlin” episode, is Ziva going to find resolution, or is this just yet another piece of the puzzle?

1. How would you describe this week's episode in one word (or two, or three, or four)?
Doug: The one-finger discount.
Christine: Vena Amoris because sometimes I just love Ducky's stories.
Steve: I want in.
2. What was your favorite scene from "Chasing Ghosts?"
Doug: It's a toss-up between two scenes. The first was Palmer's adamant refusal to be pigeon-holed by Ducky, when he said: "No, you know what? I take it back. It is not okay. I appreciate you throwing me a bone once in a while, or in this case a finger but it's not enough.

Colin Hanks will guest star on NCIS next month, and his role sounds like a crucial one.
The 35-year-old actor will appear in NCIS Season 10's final two episodes, May 7 and May 14, as Department of Defense Investigator Richard Parsons, and when he first appears, look out.
Executive producer Gary Glasberg describes Parsons as “Ken Starr, J. Edgar Hoover and an angry pitbull wrapped into one" and says Hanks will help “make it a truly memorable finale.”
The show returns April 23 with "Berlin," the first of four new episodes to finish off the season. As we saw last night (see our NCIS review of "Chasing Ghosts"), we can expect fireworks.
What role do you think Hanks' character will play in the season-ending drama?

Get ready: this episode was the launching point for the major story that will take us to the end of NCIS season 10.
To that end, this was one of those installments where the last 10 minutes were the most compelling, particularly that slow approving nod from Vance to Ziva.
Let's start from the beginning, shall we?
The title - "Chasing Ghosts" - was a play on words, as the "ghosts" here were twofold: the first was the missing Navy reservist's husband, Noah Daniels, who was later presumed dead. The second was Bodnar, who's been in the wind since the death of Ziva's father and Vance's wife. Both the Navy reservist - Callie Daniels - and Ziva were looking for closure.
In the case of Daniels, it turns out he had staged his own kidnapping at his home - and then later staged his own death by killing Darryl Orton, a man...

After the shocking events of "Shabbat Shalom" and "Shiva" earlier this year, it was only a matter of time until the death of Ziva's father resurfaced on NCIS. Looks like that time is tonight.
Tony is suspicious of what Ziva's been up to lately, believing that Thai food, beer and late night calls to Shmiel cannot be a coincidence. Something's up with her, it's just a question of what.
While he and McGee argue over whether his concern is being a good citizen or stalking, Bodnar also comes up in a talk between Vance and Gibbs, who are well aware of Ziva sniffing around.
Although he's the CIA's problem now, there's no doubt Ziva has taken this into her own hands ... as has Vance himself, according to Gibbs. Who knows what? Who's plotting what?
Check out the clip from "Chasing Ghosts" and share your comments below:

Is a vengeful Ziva David about to go rogue on NCIS?
This possibility was alluded to earlier, and apparently becomes a genuine possibility in next week's episode, as Tony suspects she is planning a risky move to avenge her father's death.
Think she is? If so, what will her big plan entail?
Meanwhile, when a Navy reservist returns home to find her husband missing and her living room covered in blood, she turns to Gibbs and the rest of the NCIS team to bring him home.
Check out the "Chasing Ghosts" promo below:

Number-one on the list of Things We've Learned About Becoming NCIS Agents? Have a bad relationship with your dad.
Ziva? Father murders man who might recognize him while on U.S. soil. Check.
Gibbs? It's a little better now. But both men are still a bit crusty with each other. Giving it a check.
Tony? I suppose if bedding Tony's neighbor on Tony's bed is any indication, then... check.
And now we've learned that Tim has a "son of a bitch" father who thinks his son is an "overpaid paper pusher. Big time check.
At least this paternal dynamic gave the NCIS team an opportunity to show its family colors as Gibbs, Abby and even Tony (in an awkward way) found ways to encourage Tim to face his dad. Tony struck a real note when he said that fathers start out as heroes but then later on disappoint. Maybe, in a way,...

Comic Con Episode IV: A New Hope

Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope is Morgan Spurlock’s latest documentary that covers the pop culture phenomenon that is San Diego Comic-Con. Personally I have been the New York Comic-Con and a bunch of smaller events, but I’ve never had the pleasure of going to the Mecca of geekdom that is San Diego Comic-Con. It is an event that has evolved greatly over the last decade. The show that was once segregated to the geek culture elite has now become part of the populist lexicon. In this documentary Morgan Spurlock along with writer Joss Whedon examine what this Con means to the geek culture. Spurlock has indicated this film was meant to be a love letter to Comic-Con as well as...

Who ya gonna call? Well that’s a good question, as the Ghostbusters hotline has officially been disconnected. The rumor mill is rampant today with the National Enquirer reporting on the latest news with Ghostbusters 3. Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis have been developing the screenplay for ages now, and everyone is all on board, including Sigourney Weaver… but star of the first two flicks Bill Murray has had script approval granted in his power and has been the weak link on this reunion chain.
Most recently, Murray had been dodging phone calls regarding re-writes. With the lines of communication down, it was only looking bleak for the future of the paranormal investigators. Things met their grisly demise when Murray finally responded. Purportedly Murray sent the most recent script back to Aykroyd shredded into pieces, with an accompanying note “No One Wants To Pay Money To See Fat, Old Men Chasing Ghosts.

In the next sneak peek clip of the all-new episode of Ghost Hunters, an investigation goes on at the infamous Higgins Armory where swords, weapons of violence, and full armor for knights is displayed. At first the team is spooked by a radiator down the hallway. They then start to talk about the time period and what it would have been like when all of these weapons were used. Suddenly as they’re staring at the knight’s armor propped up to look like it’s staring right back, they hear footsteps coming from another level above them! Watch the clip (after the jump) and tune in Wednesday at 9/8c on Syfy to see if a knight has once again come alive, or maybe a victim of these weapons still lurks the halls.

I think I've seen The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters about 20 times, whether in the theater, on DVD, on my iPhone or just having it play in the background on long road trips. (I enjoy the other documentary Chasing Ghosts as well, but it gets dull in places.) I'm such a fan of old school arcade games, having grown up going to places like Chuck E. Cheese every week just to see if I can topple my old high scores on Popeye. Despite some inconsistencies in the King of Kong (Wiebe actually held the record for 3/4th of the movie. It was just edited in a way to make you think he didn't have the world record.) and the knowledge that a lot of the facts are...incorrect (you can read about them Here) I still love the movie. I've spoken to Steve Wiebe and Walter Day before and they're both really nice.
