A glimmer of hope...
planktonrules24 April 2009
Warning: Spoilers
If you watch the news much these days, you'd swear that there is no hope at all--that the world is driving full speed towards destruction. This is particularly true with relations between the Muslim and Jewish world as well as the United States. However, this simple film shows that there is still kindness and decency out there.

A Jewish American is stranded with his car in the desert in Israel. When he calls the rental people for help, they have trouble understanding him and the guy is scared. After all, it's the middle of no where. However, a bit later a bunch of Palestinians arrive to help. But, because he doesn't speak their language and vice-versa, he assumes he's being kidnapped. Fortunately, over time, this distrust slowly disappears and the film illustrates that there is goodness in the world.

Overall, a very well made film and I sure hope that incidents like this are the rule, not just an exception.
