Like most of the works done by Go Nagai (The creator of Mazinger Z, Devilman, Cutey Honey Star Fleet/ X Bomber and Violence Jack)Shuten Doji is filled with lots of crazy stuff, combining in the same story mythological and science-fiction elements.
This was the craziest episode from Shuten Doji, with the characters being sent to different times, and our hero, Shuten Doji, being sent to space. Yes, it is as crazy as it sounds.
In my opinion, this was the "best" episode Despite being some sort of absurd filler. The whole absurdness from it made it somewhat entertaining and "enjoyable" (In the same way in which a cheesy B-movie could be "enjoyable") I guess that this is mostly a guilty pleasure, which I can't recommend seriously, but which personally I don't hate, despite all the flaws it had.
