Episode 1, Vampire, was well thought through and planned.

It combines historical background information with what people believe today, containing TV footage from Romania about villagers going vampire hunting, to England where a priest believe vampires are for real.

Anthony S. Head visits Romania and England, going to count Vlad Thepes castle, he hears the tales of Count Dracula and Elisabeth Bathory. He visits dark goth clubs and eccentric historians, and looks at dead corpses.

They also rise some interesting theories, and its a British programme, so its relaxed and not at all chaotic or stressed and the camera usage is good. They also got some acted out scenes which helps add to the low key chill factor.

great exploration of how we see the classic themes in horror in real life today

this series followed the idea of how classic characters in horror films are seen in the real world, Vampires,Werewolves,Ghosts,Possession,Zombies and suchlike are given a show each. I can say the way this series is filmed is very good with it starting with the classic look for the character, for example the vampire in the first episode then goes into the real world and the facts behind the myths. oh and if you get to see the first episode..the vampire that you see in the club..the one that focuses on her eyes then fangs...THATS ME!!! ha ha had to add that BTW.

if you've an interest in mythology of monsters then this series is well worth checking out.
