Plot was set during World War II, the dark years in Philippine history, was the story of Tacing (Charo Santos), a woman involved in different love affairs which resulted in endless trials and tribulations.

Angelito, her first love, deceived and abandoned her. Instead of accepting his responsibility, he paid her, enough to change her life.

Hesitant with the decision, she went to Manila in search of a better life for her child. The story evolved the character of Tacing (Charo Santos) the vulnerable woman despite of her challenges she was able to become strong and powerful woman, that in spite of her spontaneous success in life there were some major turn of events that made her sacrificed for her family.

The screen play is amazing, the change and switching of events from World War II to the post war era and to the current time made this movie a remarkable historical event of Philippine cinema.
