One of the best freelance games EVER!
pfs893 February 2005
Any fan of the freelance genre should at least try this game ONCE. It may be from 98', but the so-so graphics is easily overlooked with the eminent movies (starring REAL people! Not some cheap character animation thing!), above standard storyline, and a very intuitive game play. You start off by choosing your career (which doesn't have to determine your fate, you can switch between game styles as you play), and then you will begin a new life on the moon Titan, which is inhabited by the most low-life scum you will ever meet. You must master all the tricks and trades in this world, if you're planning to escape from its surface (which is the ultimate goal in this game!), and you will require help, but firstly, you gotta change your shipwreck of a beginners-plane, to one of those fancy Moths (Ships in Hardwar is called Moths, because of their need for solar power to function properly). You can scavenge for leftovers from battles of the, actually really smart AI (unless its in a dogfight), or you could hunt down ships on your own. You could also try trading, which becomes rather profitable later on. When you're getting into the game, you may also want to try the tycoon business, making weapons components and selling them to the computer, right from your own hangar! So all in all... Hardwar is one of the most neglected games around, but those who knows it, have made a very strong society on the internet.

9/10 From here.
