One helluva film

I saw this little gem on the internet (along with a couple other festival shorts) and was blown away. Think David Gordon Green's hypnotic meditation on childhood "George Washington" meshed with Harmony Korine's nihilistic depiction of blue-collar desolation "Gummo." From the initial shot of a boy bathing with his rooster (and sloshing around in his boxers) to the graphic yet mesmerising images of cockfighting and animal brutality this film is not for those of the faint of heart (or members of PETA). My only complaint is that it should have been longer... from what I've read, they amassed enough footage to produce a feature. Regardless, it's still an amazing 13 minute work...
