War against pimps
searchanddestroy-19 February 2016
Warning: Spoilers
The story is very simple. A young and beautiful woman is found dead in the harbour and it seems that she was a prostitute working for Eldorado, a notorious and dangerous black pimp. So Baretta's job will be to nail this disgusting character, this vampire who sucks women's blood. Baretta impersonates a mobster to infiltrate the pimp's organization, and in this task, he will be helped by a female undercover cop played by the ever gorgeous Joan Collins. Baretta is one more time very amusing in his gangster disguise. Notice Sondra Locke in a sub character, less important than the Collins' one, although. We find again an Italian mobster, the same we saw in another episode which I commented last week; I don't remember the title. This time, he is asked by Baretta to get rid of the black pimp, who is a real danger for both of them. Business for the Italian hood, and seeking justice for the cop. And on the other side, Collins' character - the female cop - asks the black pimp to get rid of the Italian gangster, because he is a danger for both of them too. So, a blind man would understand what all this means. The cops intend to push both gangs - Italian and Blacks - one against the other. This reminds me LE PACHA, a notorious French crime film from the late sixties. I regret that, in this episode, the pimp is obligatory a black man. I guess that, in the seventies, every pimp on screen was a black operator. Cliché, I know, but that's the way it is.
