Great humor that's lost on today's PC culture

Ignore the bad reviews by others regarding these episodes. The chemistry between the actors really brings out the humor in this episode. The WE WILL ROCK U clip at the beginning has been used at many a sporting.

Severe Crane Damage (#8.18)

Warning: Spoilers
Lilith writes a book on how women like men that are bad for him but should go for a more secure relationship. She goes on a women talk show to discuss the book and Frasier and Sam go with her. The host gets them on stage as well and women are crazy about Sam including Lilith. Frasier is upset and tries to go bad boy.

Well it is the first Frasier/Lilith episode that I am not too crazy about. Sucks, because these two don't get enough episodes in my opinion. It is not horrible, but Lilith was out of her character which really bothered me. First of all she would never go to such a show to talk about her book, she would know it would not be intellectual. And Second there is no way she would lose herself and go after Sam right in front of Frasier.

It did give us some laughs. Like Lilith telling the title of her book and the appointment her and Frasier had. But it was close to average.

I Am Running With Scissors!

Warning: Spoilers
God I hate this episode... it's tossed together from six different story strands, and none of them make any sense or provide any genuine laughs. Lilith announces she's written a book and six seconds later she's appearing on live TV to promote it. Moments later the host of the show- who has evidently been lobotomized to appeal to her target audience of four year-olds- has asked Sam and Frasier to join Lilith onstage in order to demonstrate theories about "bad boys" and "comfortable old shoes." The very sight of Sam turns all seven members of the hideous female audience into gushing sex slaves who interrupt the broadcast with chants for Sam to take off his shirt. And then things start to get weird.

This first act must take place on Jupiter, because it bears no resemblance to any human behavior here on our home planet. It's rushed, it's sloppy, it's an insult to the intelligence of any Cheers viewer. Sam crosses that fine line between Womanizer and Assbasket and becomes a loathsome caricature of his former self. Just when the sequence couldn't get any worse the writers decide to have Lilith humiliate herself by attacking Sam. Ulgh! We then get thirty seconds of Frasier back at the bar in the only segment that even resembles a normal "Cheers" episode. He insults Lilith's book and then rebels by breaking The Most Important Safety Rule of All-Time.

Then the episode returns to "pure crap" as Frasier's stunt-double comes roaring down the stairs on a Harley. Frasier's a bad-boy biker now, and he's brought with him Lorelle Brina as "Viper," one of the worst-written, worst-performed guest characters in the show's run. Viper can't decide whether she's a bad-girl or a weekend warrior cyclist, can't decide whether she likes Frasier or is humoring him, can't decide if she's going out for a latte or a trip to Florida. She's all over the map- literally- and using phrases like "Dweebville" really don't help her case. It was about this point in the episode that I actually considered gouging my eyes out just to END THE PAIN.

Oh wait, the pain's not over yet- Cliff is taking medication that could cause male breast enlargement. I'm not going to dignify this B-story with a single word.

Viper The Plot Device is left in the bar holding two helmets while Frasier and Lilith run out to have sex in front of their neglected infant son. A terrible, terrible episode that should be avoided at all costs.

Yes, Pretty Bad
Hitchcoc1 September 2019
Lilith writes a book and is asked to talk about it on a women's TV show. Sam goes with Frasier to watch and before long they are participants. Sam is a bad boy. Frasier is a good boy. The women go nuts for Sam. So Frasier feels he needs to assert his masculinity. There is kind of a sick thing going on with Cliff. Not up to the usual standards.
