Warning: Spoilers
Shavar Ross will certainly charm you in spite of the flawed character he plays, a troubled young black kid whom Anthony becomes big brother to. Tyrone is charming, funny, yet a handful, and Anthony is determined to do right by him, with tough love. But even tough love isn't enough for Tyrone who truly needs discipline to bring him around to get learned behaviors out of his system. Inside the little con-artist he's somehow become is a sweet young man whom fate has been unkind to.

Like Julia says, you can't help but like him even if you are keeping your eye on him all the time. It's not out of distrust but because he's someone you want to see improve. But old habits die hard, and when Tyrone makes a huge mistake, you know Anthony is heartbroken over the consequences. Ross is a talented young actor who knows how to charm and when he breaks down at the end when Anthony expresses his disappointment, it's hard not to feel sorry for him. It's a shame he didn't come back for a follow-up episode to see how the character had grown, one of a handful of "Designing Women" characters I felt that way about. this is one episode that without a doubt the Thomasons should be truly proud of.
