A trio of criminals take over a remote farm of a farmer and her daughter Yooko. They are Japanese and feel vulnerable. The old man does not know much English, the daughter is pretty.
The gang are led by Felix. Starr has a pervy eye on Yooko. Whereas George (Ed Nelson) feels protective about Yooko. Having served in the war he is respectful of Japanese culture.
Meanwhile Captain Matt Holbrook have got hold of the Colonel. Wherever he goes, it is to plan a heist. Holbrook is adamant that in a remote spot, a gang is holed up waiting to carry out their next robbery.
Donner as with his later movies is more respectful of other cultures and races. (Despite Yooko being played by a white actress.) Yooko and her father are not entirely passive and leave an important clue for the detectives to follow.
