Circling in the same circle !

OK, I read that in the 9th season of Dynasty "a new executive producer rejuvenated the show, and a team of writers improved the story quality for the first time in years". Well, BOO HOO, I'm watching these very episodes nowadays to gain all the bore and repetition in the world!

Aside from the embitterment and emptiness caused by missing main characters like Steven and Krystle, plus the many strange absences of Alexis (which I knew later that they were for cutting down the budget!), the events every day are the same, and the storylines are nearly static. For maybe the tenth time right now, I have Fallon and that silly detective having the same arguments about "How this affair is wrong", "I'm leading an investigation about your father", ending always with "You know how idiot you are?!" and all of that jazz per episode without anything new! Then, Blake does nothing but talking to Dex, repeating the routine of "Your father, my father, what they have done together, and let's forget all about it!". Over and above, the shoddy love triangle of Fallon-Jeff-Sammy Jo which seems running forever, with the same dialogue, every single time! The drama of Mr. Dex doesn't get out of the fact that he's the most desirable male on the planet, who Alexis, Sable, some blonde girl, and a brunette one, all are racing to sleep with him! And last but not the least, the matter of the mysterious corpse which doesn't want to get forward at all it's totally stinking already!

What ever happened to the show? It turned into the Groundhog Day! Presenting the same events in every episode is a mark of a bankrupt series, and Dynasty used to be away from that. I began to get sick of it, and - more importantly - wanted to uncover the truth about that frozen era in its course. All what I knew was that at the time the ratings were falling down, moving the series to a new Thursday night slot proved to be unsuccessful, and within no time, ABC pulled the plug at the end of that season in 1989, terminating Dynasty roughly. Though, I believe that with threatening circumstances such as these, the writers should have pulled off some tricks, inflamed some storylines, and pushed some characters to the edge. However, no such luck. They looked pretty desperate, or board, to do their original job in the first place. And the final fate of Dynasty was logical thereby.

Some angry side notes: the new hairdo of Emma Samms was killing her face, destroying its natural luminosity. The many homey sweaters of John James were so loud, looking like something picked out of a deadly traditional fashion magazine (special edition about "what the young fathers should wear at home"!). And speaking about homey sweaters, it seemed to be that the insanely rich Blake Carrington had only "ONE" unchangeable sweater to wear at home (yes, you know it by heart, the black one with the endless buttons!) which, to tell you the truth, was another brick in the bore wall!

In brief, between this phase of the show and going to sleep, I choose the second with no thinking!
