- Basil puts his hand on Sybil's waist trying to reminisce about better times. She removes his hand and walks away.
- The Major is going to a memorial service for a man he didn't like because he was a "pansy".

- Basil is praising St George for slaying a hideous dragon, and clearly implying that Sybil also falls into that category.
- Basil hits Manuel in the stomach with the back of his hand to get him to be quiet. He later slaps him across the back of the head.
- Basil hints that he would like to drown one of his guests.
- A female guest offers to give Polly a fight.
- Basil wishes a fatal accident on one of his guests. He then startles her, causing her to bang her head on a shelf. He also threatens to put a bat up her nightdress.
- Sybil kicks Basil in the leg causing him pain.
- Sybil threatens Basil with an unidentified mischief. He replies that she will need to sew them (his testicles) back on first.
- Basil says that the police are busy as there was a bloodbath at the tea rooms
- Basil mimes stalking a guest with a bow and arrow.
- Sybil throws a cup of tea over Basil to calm him down, and accidentally hits the Major as well.
- Basil clinches his fist in anger but restrains himself. He does bang his head on the desk and threatens to send Manuel to a vivisectionist.

- One of the guests, as always, appears at the bar right on six o'clock for his first drink of the day. Basil also has one drink
- A guest attempts to work out an unidentified item on his bill. Basil suggests cigarettes or drinks but the man neither drinks nor smokes.
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- As always Basil goes on mad, uncontrolled rants, getting red in the face, fainting, laughing maniacally, crying and yelling. These are played for laughs and are unlikley to frighten even little ones.
