Joey Finds a Friend
Prismark105 April 2023
Joey is a wild boy in the streets who is always getting into trouble. After an altercation with another kid, Joey is falsely accused of breaking a shop window and winds up in court.

Jim Newton (Peter Graves) saw the incident and somehow did not tell the police at the time what happened. He waited until the case reached court to tell the real version of events.

Jim ends up taking Joey home as a ward, even though he is a single man.

Back at the ranch, Joey takes an interest in the wild stallion called Fury. However Fury is hard to tame and one of the farm hands is determined to whip Fury into shape.

When Joey gets injured and passes out. The farm hand falsely blames Fury and it looks like Fury will be shot dead.

To makes matters worse, once again no one listens to Joey when he tells the truth.

A real boy's own modern western. The moral is to listen to the kids as some adults can be dastardly.

The character of Helen is introduced as a sole female presence, just to let Jim know that fatherhood is not easy.
