Rose v Blanche v Dorothy.
Sleepin_Dragon8 May 2023
Blanche brings home Hungarian sculptor Laszlo Grigoryev, she's utterly smitten as are Blanche and Dorothy. He wants that perfect model, they each compete for thay honour. Sophia takes up practical joking, much to Dorothy's annoyance.

A classic, The Artist is a wonderful, funny episode. One of those that sees the girls pitted against one another, then being pushed together. The laughs definitely come from Sophia, her practical joking scenes were so funny, the scene with the sculpture was very funny.

The wonderful Tony Jay is great here as Laszlo, known arguably for his wonderful English accent and deep, powerful voice, unusual to see him playing a Hungarian, but he's terrific.

Classic, 9/10.

The Artist (#3.13)

Warning: Spoilers
There is an artist in Blanche's museum who is very popular, not only in the world but also with ladies. He wants to make a statue and the three of them are all eager to pose. When they find out that he makes sketches of them all they get upset and demand him to make a choice, but he says that he will not do it now and they will see the result at the exhibition. At the end turns out he chose them all.

A pretty fun story with a great ending. Love how he chose them all because they compliment each other. This is also a great tribute to their friendship. And it was also awesome to see that he was gay and how shocked they all were!

Sculpture

I have enjoyed this episode. It was both funny and cute. Now I am curious to know where that sculpture is. Does anybody know? If yes, could you please comment it below?

The jokes are on all three.

Warning: Spoilers
Artist Tony Jay sets the girls up against each other as he tries to decide which one will be the subject of his latest sculpture. But they make assumptions about him that are far from the truth. At the same time, Sophia becomes obsessed with practical jokes, making a fool out of Dorothy with a dribble glass, a whoopie cushion and the snakes in a can, infuriating Dorothy because her attempts to get vengeance keep failing. It's obvious by the way Dorothy sits that she's setting the dribble up. This is one of the rare episodes where both plots as re equally funny, with a surprise ending that the first time I watched it, I didn't see what was in store into whom Lazslo was interested in.

Very funny and cute episode

Warning: Spoilers
one of the funnier episodes with the girls being models for an artist's sculpture. Each one vying for his attention thinking he is ultimately going to choose one of them for his sculpture and possibly a romantic partner. Unless you were totally clueless you knew the latter wasn't going to ever happen and so the ending came as no shock to me but funny nonetheless with the artist being gay . Tony Jay was still a rather sexy mature man and I for one would have bedded him down in a minute.

What loses points for me in this episode is the stupid subplot of Sophia's practical jokes on Dorothy. For a mother who supposedly loves her daughter etc, Sophia was really a b with a capital B in every episode . I detested her character , she could be funny but over all she was really a mean self centered old windbag. They could have easily written her out of the show and carried on with just the girls.
