From a blind date to a deaf one

"Willona's Dilemma" opens with JJ a success driving a delivery truck for the Chicken Shack, coming home to rush off to art school: "this ain't no fake out this is take out, we got stacks of backs, kegs of legs, blizzards of gizzards, and the rest is breast!" Willona's blind date turns out to be a blind alley, returning home early to meet Walter Ingles (J.A. Preston), one of JJ's friends from art school, who owns his own machine shop downtown, quite a feat for a man completely deaf. In no time the wheels start turning in Florida's head, already looking to marry off best friend Willona to her husband's eternal dismay. They're seeing each other nearly every night for two weeks, until Willona confides that he seems to be getting serious while she's not in love with him. Unwilling to hurt his feelings because he's deaf, she's not sure how to break the news. Excellent portrayal of a character whose handicap does not slow him down in the least.
